Turon Bank in the "Year of Wellbeing and Prosperity" has carried out considerable work within the national strategy aimed at promoting small business and private entrepreneurship, creation of jobs, development of farming, as well as support of women entrepreneurs.
In 11 months of 2013 loans provided by the bank to private entrepreneurs amounted to over 260 billion soums, including college graduates - 2.1 billion soums, women entrepreneurs - 14.9 billion soums.
As part of the regional development program in the same period last year the Bank provided 55.7 billion soums, of which for industrial development - 17 billion soums, service sector - 36.1 billion soums, agricultural production and processing - 2.5 billion soums.
In addition, to meet the needs of the population in food and improve the export potential of the country, the Bank provided loans totaling 41.1 billion soums to companies producing consumer goods.
In order to enhance the technical level of domestic manufacturers, to create new jobs by restoring bankrupt companies, the Bank were provided investments from its own funds. As a result, in 11 months of 2013 with the bank’s assistance over 2,500 jobs were created. With the Bank support “Farg’ona Turon Textiles", specializing in manufacture of both raw materials and semi-finished and finished knitwear, restored its activities. Currently, the company employs 500 people, mostly of manufactured goods is exported, and since the beginning of 2013 "Farg’ona Turon Textile" manufactured over 4.3 tons of finished products worth 25.1 billion soums.
In 2014 the Bank intends to continue to implement measures to ensure consistent development of entrepreneurship, in particular, small business and private entrepreneurship, improve the technical level of domestic production, as well as activities aimed at creating new jobs and improving living standards.
